At JFCS, we understand that unexpected financial challenges can cause immense stress. Our Emergency Financial Assistance program is designed to provide a lifeline during difficult times, ensuring that individuals and families can weather storms and regain their stability.

Our goal is not just to provide temporary relief but to empower individuals and families with the tools they need to regain control of their financial future. Here’s how we can help: 

• Comprehensive Financial Assessment: In collaboration with the client, we assess a holistic view of their financial records, including sources of income, assets, living expenses, debts, and other limiting factors. This allows us to gain better insight and map out effective strategies to manage living expenses.
• Tailored Support for Immediate Needs: Should the assessment reveal a pressing need, our program steps in to provide emergency financial assistance when possible. This assistance is made possible through a combination of private donor support and public funding sources. We believe in the power of community collaboration to create a safety net that prevents individuals and families from falling through the cracks.
• Holistic Approach to Financial Well-being: Our commitment extends beyond immediate relief. We view our financial assistance program as an integral part of a broader self-sufficiency plan. We work in tandem with other community service providers, collaboratively seeking opportunities for further assistance and support.

JFCS is a licensed mental health agency. Most insurances accepted – Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance. For those without insurance coverage, JFCS has a sliding fee scale.
